Notes
Had a lot of trouble with Mash temp for some reason. Couldn't get to 152 and hold as recipe called. Landed at 148 so added 10 minutes to Mash time.
Day 9 after going into fermenter the FG is 1.008, missing recipe target of 1.013. So, a touch more ABV and dryness (6.8 vs 6.2) than recipe indicated. Still a nice color to the darker side of an Amber. Now to carb.
This totally turned out as a brown ale and a quite good one! Not sure if the wrong grains were in my mix or what but it's very dark, probaly in the 30 - 32 range an flavor is definitely a brown ale. Could be a bit maltier but still turned out very well. This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
