Notes
I had a freshly dumped Balcones Single Malt Whiskey barrel. Ed had a Hudson Valley Distilley Bourbon barrel that had been on a shelf for years. CRAZY IDEA!! Let's brew ten gallons of an old school porter, and age five gallons in one barrel, and five gallons in the other, then combine them and bottle. What's the worst that could happen, right???
Racked to bourbon barrels on 7/16/17
Blended both barrels and bottled all ten gallons on 10/1/17.
Cracked open a few bottles on Groundhog Day 2018. WOW!!! This is amazingly good beer
