——YEAST STARTER (01/20/17)—— 2 X 1200ML STARTERS WITH 1TSP YEAST NUTRIENT, 120G OF DME & 1 DROP OF FERMCAP-S. 2 PACKS OF YEAST IN EACH. PLACED ON A STIR PLATE OVERNIGHT. ——BREWDAY (01/21/17)—— NOTE: 3/4 LB OF THE OATS DID NOT SEEM FLAKED. MIGHT HAVE BEEN STEEL CUT. ——MASH—— MASH TEMP: 151F PH: NOT TAKEN (METER BROKEN) IODINE TEST: PASS PRE SPARGE GRAVITY: 1.074 NOTE: WHEN RECIRCULATING OVERSHOT TEMP TO 158 AT ONE POINT. ADDED 1QT COOL RO WATER AND RE-STIRED MASH TO COOL DOWN QUICKLY TO 151F. ——SPARGE—— Over an hour. Pre-Boil Gravity. 1.054 ——BOIL—— UNEVENTFUL ——POST BOIL—— WHIRLPOOL GOT STUCK. SANATIZED A BREWING SPOON AND REMOVED HOP BAG BLOCKING DIP TUBE. RAN WHIRLPOOL FOR AN ADDTIONAL 7 MINUTES. 17 MIN TOTAL. 20 MINUTES TO SETTLE. CHILLED TO 65F OG: 1.061 ADDED 2 MIN OF O2. PITCHED YEAST STARTERS AND PLACED IN FRIDGE. SET TO BREWPI NEIPA 1.5 (2017) PROFILE. ——FERMENTATION LOG—— 01/21 - POSITIVE CO2 PRESSURE WITHIN 4-5 HOURS OF PITCHING. 01/22 - POSITIVE CO2 PRESSURE. INCREASING ACTIVITY. 01/23 - POSTIVIE CO2 PRESSURE. REMAINS ACTIVE.
