Taste Notes
Big, bold, warm the cockles of your heart good. 3 pints and you are full of the holiday spirit!
Great porter flavor with just the right hop notes. Notes
Recipe was designed by myself and my two brother in laws to fix the holiday gift giving to each other. We all pitch in on the cost of the ingredients and that is our present to each other. Around the holidays, we got together and brewed this puppy whil drinking hombrew we brought along to share. We kegged two five gallon cornies. One to tap on the family summer trip and the other to tap the next holiday brewing. Six months of cellaring makes this a VERY sessionable beer. It big but leaves you wanting another. 12 months and it's soooo good and mellow.
Awesome
by rodj6About to brew my second batch. I soaked the oak chips in Burbon for two weeks to keep the bugs off but that was the only difference. Did a 2 corny batch and it was gone in 2 weeks, and I had a lot of friends. well done
