Taste Notes
Tried on October 28th - great clarity, nice deep brown, with ruby red colour when looking throu. Thin body (even though it was average of 152 F?) and low alcohol. Tastes clean and nice. Really nice. This beer tastes phenomenal. Love it at November 30th.
Served it at the homebrew club Christmas party on Dec 12th and got good reviews. People there are hard to impress too!
Notes
Brewed this last minute in the 5 gal cooler mash tun using the kitchen stove for heating up strike and sparge water in my pot.
never hit 156F. in between 150 and 154. really nice to be able to heat the tun (the 8 gal tallboy) and get up to the right temp. I tried adding water to the cooler to get it up to 156, just not hot enough. ( I used 70 degree c water. around 2 liters.
The Brown malt I used is actually Briess Carabrown. This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
