Taste Notes
Great chocolate and oak dryness with a hint of roast. Has aged well one year later. Maybe more roast next time?
Still a nice smooth beer in August 2018.
Still drinking it in Dec 2021. It’s getting better with age.Notes
Started soaking oak in 2 cups scotch on October 16, 2016. Brewed on April 15,2017. Sample on Day 8 = 1.017. Moved to HVAC room. Left on primary until May 13. Racked a full 5 gallons into glass carboy with scotch and oak cubes. Calculated ABV with whiskey = 9.5%. Bottled on Oct 1, 2017. Great taste at bottling. Not too oaky or boozy. This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
