Taste Notes
At racking to secondary beer has a nice sweet character with good bitterness. Added hops for dry hopping.
After dry hopping, beer has a nice sweet flavor and seems balance well with the hops.Notes
Need 14.7 quarts for Hot Liquor Tank to Fly Sparge.
1 Cup Pilsner DME to make 1200 ml for starter. Pitched yeast into starter at 17:30 on 10/30/14 with stir plate on high speed and flask covered with foil. Ambient temp in kitchen down to 63F at 0830 as furnace on the fritz.
Active fermentation continues. 24 hours on starter, nice separation when stir plate secured. Average temperature a bit lower than desired (max about 68 F) due to no heat.
0500 11/1/14: kitchen down to 62 F. Stopped stir plate, yeast activity appears complete. Decanted a pint to a beer glass.
