Notes
1846 Truman XXXXK from Ron Pattinson's "The Home Brewer's Guide To Vintage Beer"
Going to age this for 8-12 months in a Wild Turkey bourbon barrel purchased from Kelvin Cooperage
I'll end up brewing 12 batches, for a total of 60 gallons of beer. Hmm, maybe buying that big barrel was overkill.
Starting gravity - 1.106, 25 plato
First 10 gallons brewed on July 16th, transfered to bourbon barrel on August 20th
5 more gallons brewed on August 20th, 10 more on August 21st, 5 more on August 23rd, all transfered to bourbon barrel on September 20th. Total of 30 gallons in the barrel
10 more brewed on August 28th, 10 more on September 2nd. Everything transferred to barrel on September 27th, so about 53 gallons in the barrel
