Taste Notes
This mountain-inspired brew draws heavily from Mount Rainier and Mount Hood hops, providing earthy and licorice notes, while the Cascade hops bring forth fruit and spice. The red hues resemble a late afternoon sunset at the ski resort, and the wheat adds an all-American touch to this easy drinking beerNotes
I was at my LHBS and they were giving away a free pound of hops when you purchased a certain value of merchandise. Most of the names of the hops on the list I did not recognize, but I thought I had heard of Mt. Rainier hops before. So I received a full pound of of Mt. Rainier pellets with my purchase.
This is my first attempt at crafting a recipe including Mt. Rainier hops. I decided on a "mountain" theme, so I included Mt. Hood and Cascade hops. I like ambers, and thought that the wheat may make a nice addition to the "citrus and licorice tones". I also used an American wheat yeast. This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
