Notes

Heated up mash tun with hot water Mashed in 3.5galons at 170 degrees. Stirred up with dril paint stirrer Aimed for 152 degrees Ended up with 150degrees. 2 sparges Sparge water @ 175 Didnt like pre-boil gravity of 1.034 80min in attempt to lower gravity First hop addition was Chinook at 30min El Dorado at 15min El Dorado at 120degrees (during cooldown) -not in hop spider Added 1.5 gallon to bring to 6.1gallon 1.050 OG prior to pitching yeast O2 for 10sec Pitched one pack 05 at 75 degrees Racked over on 5/9/2016 1.014 Sweet smelling, clean, no body Strong orange smell, tasted grapefruit Bottled on 5/31/16 Clean taste. Orange smell. Not as sweet 2cups boiling water/3.5oz sugar/10min 51 bottles
