Taste Notes

Jason thinks its not sweet enough (wort). 12/6/2012 - Tried chilled with CO₂ attached @ 13 PSI. Good, clean flavor with mild hop aroma. Not carbonated enough, mildly effervescent, bumped to 20 PSI and left overnight until .

Notes

2-2.2 oz @ 5.57 = 5.5-6.0 AAU's Added Ph adjuster (5.2) (2 Tbsp) then mashed for 60 minutes. NO SPARGE! Tested wort just after boil (chilled to 78°F); Measured (adj) 1.040" Added 2 Whirlfloc tablets @ 5 min left to end of boil Cooled wort into 6.5 gallon carboy and 7.0 gallon bucket . Measured @ 60°F, same as yeast (Am. Ale Yeast). Oxygenated and added yeast. Ended up with less beer because no sparge and not a proper gravity beer. 11/18/2012; ALL DAY - Started making beer (Blond Ale) 11/26/2012; 1600 - Transferred to Better Bottle, 4.75 gallons (almost 4qts of trub) Measured SG: 1.011 @ 61°F (spot on reading!) 12/5/2012; 1300 - Transferred to Keg (lost about 1 pint) - Gassed w/ 15 PSI @ 55°F for _____HOURS 12/6/2012; - Chilled to 42°F and tasted (above)
