Taste Notes

floral/fruity forward slight citrus, ok. * is next to the hops that are really catching my eye. ========= dual purpose *galaxy - Similar to Citra, but with the tropical fruit toned down and a bit more grassy flavor. showcases gentle citrus with passion fruit notes. Specific aroma descriptors include distinct passionfruit and clean citrus aromas. *belma - A very clean hop, with a very orange, slight grapefruit, tropical pineapple, strawberry, and melon aroma. *calypso - lemons, cherry blossoms, black pepper, bitter orange, mint, hints of tropical fruit and sappy, pronounced pear. Gorgeous, soft floral aroma lands with an overt kick of dried apple, pear and citrus. ========= bittering bravo - Specific aroma descriptors include orange, vanilla and floral. galena - Specific aroma descriptors include sweet fruits, pear, pineapple, blackcurrant, grapefruit, lime, gooseberry and spicy wood. ========= aroma *el dorado - This hop has bright tropical fruit flavors and aromas of pear, watermelon, and stone fruit. huell melon - Specific aroma descriptors include distinctive honeymoon melon and strawberry palisade - Specific aroma descriptors include apricot, grass and clean floral characteristics. Very pronounced and pleasant fruity, non-citrusy, aroma with earthy undertones.

Notes

Noticed "hot" astringent flavor. Blaming on forgetting to oxygenate. Low or weak malt profile. Possibly experiment with new base malts or increase specialty malts. Happy with hop aromas and hopstand results. Possibly switch gears to late hop additions for the forseeable future.
