Taste Notes

Great summer beer. 1st served this a this at our annual Fourth of July picnic. This beer was liked even by those who don't drink beer (women white wine drinkers). This is a keppa.

Notes

1st read about this beer in "brewing with WHEAT" by Stan Hieronymus. Recipe from Pelican Pub & Brewery-Pacific City, Oregon: Brewmaster Darron Welch. 70% Simpson's Golden Promise, 25% malted white wheat and 5% torrified red wheat Golden promise provides the biscuit and almost silky character, while wheat adds bready character. 1st time using First Wort Hopping with good result. This was suggested in "Brewing Better Beer" by Gordon Strong. Dry hop for three days during in end stage of secondary fermentation.
