Brew Date: 4/21/2012 2:25 - FLAME ON 2:47 - 159 degrees hit... 2:54 - Mash in (152 deg floating thermometer / 156 deg digital) 3:06 - Floating thermo at 156 also... Stirred and left lid off to vent heat 3:13 - 152 deg hit on both thermos. 60 min timer restarted 3:28 - Temp holding at 152 on digital 3:45 - Temp down to 150, Flame on for 3 minutes 3:51 - Temp back to 152 4:05 - Digital at 153 4:13 - Temp still at 1:53 - Begin mash out 4:23 - Temp at 170, but rises to 174 4:36 - Pulled Bag 4:45 - Pre-Boil... Vol = 7.15 / SG = 1.037 5:00 - Boil Started - Added Williamette 5:45 - Added yeast nutrient, Cascade and dunked immersion chiller 6:00 - FLAME OUT Post-Boil SG = 1.046 6:07 - IC turned on 6:37 - Pitched Yeast OG = 1.044 SG on 4/28 = 1.012 FG on 5/7 = 1.012 Bottled on 5/7 - 42 12oz bottles + 6 bombers = 53 beers
