Taste Notes

Original recipe called for 2 lbs of Corn Syrup at the last 10 minutes of the boil. We only had 1 lb so that is what we used. Looks like it will turn out so I have saved the recipe with that amount. Used pellet hops in the mash. More beer recipe uses whole cone.

Notes

9/26/2014 Mash temp was 156 instead of 152 so beer will have more Malt and sweetness to it.(dextrine) Used cascade 4oz pellets in mash. Lower mash temp has less dextrine, more fermentables and will help hops show through better. Higher temp creates more dextrine which creates more sweetness and Malt. Didn't add dextrine as wort was measuring high. Had boil overs a couple times. Not a great brew day. Next time hit my mash temp and monitor the boil better.
