Taste Notes

I like it overall has a bitter taste. not too bitter but the combination of the smoked malt and vanilla beans is interesting. i think that maybe the casing from the beans added to the bitterness.

Notes

Did a 50 minute boil @ 154 degrees and 10 minute mash out @ 170 degrees Added vanilla beans to secondary, 4 beans sectioned up and submeged in choclate vodka for one week. 2/6/14 Converted the recipe to all grain. For the base malt I'm using 50/50 of US and UK pale. 2/23 Bottled in bombers had 2 vanilla beans in secondary. Hydrometer reading was 1.010
