This was very unlike most Black IPAs due to the lack of Northwest US hops. It is intended to be reminiscent of the desert after a summer storm. It mostly is. Very earthy aroma and hop flavor with all the fuggles, but also slight roasted flavor in the finish. May try this with an American Ale yeast to get some more ester development.

12-28-12. Need to make a Cali common to utilize a yeast cake.
I'll do a 10 gallon split batch using Chinook or NB and Willamette with Safeale S-05 for the IPA half.Grain bills are similar. PM the dark grains.
