Taste Notes

Notes

1 oz of tangerine zest. zesting was a pita. Hose is frozen. Using bathtub water. Don't know what I am going to do do for chilling yet. Beginning heating water at 11:20 am. Hose working now. Heating Sparge water in big mofo. Mash temp hit dead on. Thank you beersmith. Fly sparge, really slow. First runnings: 1.054 (temp corrected) after 4 gallons: 1.034 (temp corrected) Preheated big mofo prior to adding wort, i think that was a mistake. May have scorched wort.David Amazing! Hit all our numbers $24.19. Larry and I brewing. Sparged super slow - 45/1hr for first 4 gallons. Hit all numbers. Used big mofo pot again, much easier to manhandle with 2 people. Preheated pot prior to boil and may have scorched the wort. Racking to secondary - most of orange zest was in the trub. Lots of trub and krausein residue. May have stained the primary.
