Taste Notes

This is a delicious American-style Red ale that keeps the hops and malt characters in balance. There's something special, to me at least, about San Diego Super Yeast (WLP090), which ferments this beer out nice and clean though leaves just the right amount of residual sweetness. The flavor/aroma blend of Willamette and Cascade hops is killer.

Notes

Pre boil gravity 10 Brix, close to 7 gallons, boiled for 90 min final gravity 13 brix( 1.53). Added oxy and used yeast from previous batch ( honey porter). Pinched yeast on 3/31/16. Transferred to secondary2:15 pm 4/6/15 fg 6 Brix (1.006 fg) abv 6.145 by northern brewer calculator. Transferred to keg 4/19/16 fg 6 Brix.
