Taste Notes

Chill strike water to 80C without stirring and then underlet into mash tun. Replace all connections on boiler with 1/2" connections for more stability, fewer leaks and tighter connections for fewer bubbles in line.

Notes

http://www.lowoxygenbrewing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=48#top https://beersmithrecipes.com/viewrecipe/3055111 SG 1.039 (lower than expected, probably because there was too much water left in the HLT. Maybe start with 39 litres next time) pH 5.38 - no phosphoric was used OG 1.047 - had to extend the boil by 10 minutes to get closer to the target OG of 1.049. Used the yeast from the COVID-19 Helles (previous beer) from one corny. Prepared the yeast too late so it didn't get to wake up properly. Took ages to chill beer to 15C. Use 3 bags of ice next time (instead of two)
