The Ole No 7 turned out really interesting. The whiskey really brought out a carmel flavor for a while. That has mellowed and now I can really taste the oak tannins. It is good maybe a 3 out of 5.

Just started fermenting my Ole No 7 Ale on Sunday 5/20/2012. Fermentation was vigorous and fun to watch. Issues that may/will affect consistency are:

1. Trouble with the mash temp (too low).
2. Had boil over when I stepped away for a minute. Some hops wound up on the floor.

Starting to plan one more summer brew (Samuel Adams Lager Clone I found on this recipe site). Already got the brew day of 6/8/2012 planned. After that, It's time to give it a short rest before tackling the fall beers.
