Taste Notes

Great beer. Well liked. A suggestion to add a little more Galena up front was made at the homebrew club. Switch out a little pale malt for some munich to give it more cookie flavor. I can see that.

Notes

Toasted oats at 325 deg. for 1 hour, turning every 15 min. Conditioned grains and crushed grains twice. O.G. 1.058. A half gallon too much. Need to adjust mash water. Use 2.5 gal./pound. Added .50 oz. of mexican vanilla extract, .5pds. of lactose, and .5 teaspoon of cinnamon at kegging. Boiled lactose for 10 minutes in about 2 cups water. Cinnamon did not dissolve well. Add it to the lactose during boil next time to dissolve.
