Taste Notes

Light, due to less caramel and mash temp probably. Bit sweet, but not too much. Not too bitter. No off flavours (thank the gods). I like this one. Will make again.

Notes

6/27/15 - OG 1.058 Higher than expected. 10 points from SG. Added 2.2 ltr 1.040 starter (starter was at 22 hrs, so active but mostly done) to bring 4.9 gal wort to 5.5 gal. Boiled down more than expected. Put in crawl space at 68F ambient with blow off. Wort chiller to 73F (it's hot here in Sicily). Need to make another kettle volume measuring stick. 7/1/15 - Ferm slowed. Added about 2 oz cascade to primary with hopes to scrub O2 and move hops around. Was fermenting at up to 73F. 7/5/15 - Transferred about 4.5 gal to secondary. Big loss from hops/trub. 7/10/15 - Kegged. FG 1.010. 6.5%. Smells good. Crystal clear. 7/11/15 - Beer has clouded slightly due to chill haze? Tastes good. Bit sweet but not cloying. Not too bitter. So happy with this one. FWIW.. Thanks for reading. Hope it works for you too!

Not bad!

Brewed this with a 15 gal pot on a 22K BTU burner from homebrewing.org. Was tired of overly sweet APA type beers, and found this to be light, a little sweet yet with an unexpected full mouthfeel. I would recommend a fruitier dry hop, but otherwise keep things the same. Great beer.

OG 1.055
FG 1.009

Bottled with 4.5 oz corn sugar.

Tasting: Some hop haze from dry hop. Light, aromatics from Cascades dry hop. Less mouthfeel than SNPA.
