Notes

Actual Grain Weights 15lb 15.6oz Pils 2 lb 8.5 oz Munich 6.75 oz Carafa II 90+ min mash due to yoga Strike called for 170F, used 173, Probably was right on at 152 Mash. There were areas that were 150, 154. Target was 152. Lautered with valve 1/2 way and no sticking. Meticulous to avoid lost wort. Preboil 12.75 gal of 1.025 at 145F Yeast Calcs: used Half pint jar that was 50% Yeast from 9/3/2012 O-Fest harvest. A WLP vial is assumed 100 billion cells and has 0.75 oz of yeast. in it. So 4 oz / 0.75 X 100 Billion = 533 Billion Cells. Yeast Calc.com states from date there is 63% viability, so 335 billion. Stir plate on 1.5L starter at 1.037 States I created 197 billion for 533 billion total. yeastcalc also states for 10.5 gal of 1.053 wort of Ale, 390 billion are needed. All good. 10/24/2012 1.016 at 61F Kegged 11/2/2012 and 11/3/2012.
