Roasted and cubed to approx 1.5" 8:15a Mash grains,l hulls, 2 cans of Libbys 100% pure pumpkin pure (15oz each) and ~1.5lb of Indian Pumpkin in at 142 8:28 add boiling water to approx 152 degree. guessing approx 1.5 gallons. - future note, have boiling water at the ready to lift heat as needed 8:34 tested at 152 9:35 start moving to pot. sparge with about 1 gallon of ~160 degree water. 9:55 heat on the pot. add final sparge water 6.8 gallons sg 1.030 add DME sg 1.039 Almost no heat break 10:18 Northern Brewer 9.2 % hops addition 11:08 Sterling 7.9% hops addition, lactose, 4.5 lb Indian pumpkin 11:11 molasses and spices 11:18 flame out, add chiller sg 1.065 4.75 gallons in fermenter. top up .5 gallons on 5.5 pitch yeast
