Notes

Had a successful brew day, with the new hop spider and plate chiller. Strike water was 158 vs 156 from BS, and the initial resting temp was 152. Over the hour it dropped to 145. I put a hoody over the pot to insulate, and it was about 13 degrees outside. Hit the estimated OG dead on at 1065. Added a gallon of water after the mash. The crush was very floury. Plate chiller worked great. Gravity fed, chilled the whole pot in 13 mins. Need to make a stand for the chiller, and a dip tube/screen for the kettle.
