Notes

1st runnings 20L Vol to kettle 41L @ 1.046 Did a hop stand for 20 mins with 0 mins hop additions 50mins to chill to 23C 32.5 L post boil with chiller and hop spider removed. 28L to fermenter @1.050, 10 points off my target, possibly 5 or 6L too much water used. Put 500g sugar in 500ml water to fermenter after 5 days to bring up og to 1.056. 2.5L left at bottom of kettle . Added 40g Chinook leaf on Thursday 7th august 8 days into fermentation. Going to leave till Tues/Wednesday 12/13th. Moved to secondary on 12th, dry hopped with 40g Chinook pellets and 40g cascade pellets as little or no hop aroma from 1st dry hop. Purged with mixed gas. Going to leave till sun 17th. Fg 1.009 = 6.2% Kegged 19L, and bottled 19 500ml bottles Quite possibly the best beer I've ever made.. Try it.. You won't be disappointed!!
