Taste Notes

4/13/2014: Aroma: Moderate pineapple, honey, passion fruit, with slight grassiness. Sweet, caramel breadiness. Some alcohol as it warms (8/10) Appearance: Golden, to light orange with nice off-white head that persists for a bit. Hazy. (4/5) Flavor: Candy-like sweetness with boozy pineapples and mangos. Moderately-high bitterness, but balanced on the sweet side. (14/20) Mouthfeel: Medium-full body with a slight lingering bitterness and a definite warming affect from the alcohol (4/5) Overall: I thought there were a lot of similarities with this beer and the original. An overall pretty large Imperial IPA. I felt the bitterness could be a little higher (or beer a little drier) to balance out. (7/10) Total: 37/50
