Taste Notes

Tasted 7 Mar 18. Lemon on the nose which follows on the pallate. balanced malt but slightly sour finish. Not unpleasant but not the expected result.

Notes

FOR HOPS: Pellet for 60 mins add full amount Cryo for 10 min add 14g Cryo for 5 min add 14g Cryo for whirlpool add 18g Cryo for dry hop add 10g when primary is over. 5 days. Brew day 17 Jan. Mashed in and hit 5.2 pH exactly. Lost a deg C at 20 mins so decoction mashed back to 66.5C. Gravity of first runnings: 1.083 Gravity of 2nd runnings: 1.047 pH 5.3 Gravity of 3rd runnings: 1.027 pH 5.3 Gravity of final runnings: 1.020 pH 5.5 Pre-boil SG and vol hit. Not quite enough boil off (by about 0.5 to 1.0L). Tilt says 1.061 which is target. Filtered wort through sanitised filter bag. Very effective. Primary complete after 2.8 days Dry hop added 22 Jan. Keg in 5 days (27 Jan). Kegged 27 Jan. Still a bit cloudy but bulk primed, purged, left at 18C to carb. Expect ready to drink at
