Notes

6/7/13-first attempt at 15 gallon for my whiskey barrel. Used HLT as boil kettle too. 7.5 gallons of water and half the grains in each mash tun. 45 minute rest, adding oats in 15 minutes left. Sparge water at 170. Took reading from one brew kettle and got 1.056 but had less first runnings in it. Probably hit a 1.070 total.8/1/13- bottled and ended with 1.023. tastes great, thick, sweet. will see.
