Notes
- Steeped at 155 degrees for 30 min.
- Accidently added .5 oz of Centennial at 60 min instead of 30 min, recommended to move back to 30 min next time
- Pulled all hops at 60 min, put them back in + 0 min hops at 180 degrees after flameout. This was to just reduce boil volume.
- Recommended to start with 6 gallons of water for 60 min boil since you add a lot of LME
- Strained hops from boiling pot into fermentor bucket
- Transferred to secondary in carboy on 9/1
- Dry hopped in bag w/ pellets. After 12 hours, bag rose to top, more marbles? Will depend on how easy it is to get bag out of carboy
- Removed dry hops 9/6, bad idea dry hopping in carboy
Good Strong Taste
by matthawleyThis was a solid beer. Friends and I agree that it has a lot of characteristics of Double Rainbow from Iron Horse, albeit not a lager. Will definitely be making this again following notes :)
