Notes

Mash temp for 5 gallon tun: Added water to cooler & it settled at 168. Going to cool to the recommended temp of 158 & add grains. Aiming for 148. Hit 145 after 2 min rest. Added 1 qt boiling water & settled at 150. Grains: Had less Munich than I thought. Went with 170 Munich & 210 Vienna instead. Sparge : Heated 3.5 gals to 194. Added to 10 gal tun. Settled at 183. About 180 when I moved to top of structure. Gravity: First Runnings: 12.2 Brix, 1.0492 SG Second Runnings: 4.3 Brix, 1.0169 SG Pre-boil: 8.0 Brix, 1.0318 SG Post-boil: 14.3, 1.0581 Volume: Pre-boil: 5.2 gal (over) Post-boil: 3.25 gal Fermentation: Bubbling next morning Taste is decent. I would not add vodka to the fruit again. There is an aftertaste.
