Taste Notes

Good flavor prior to boil Somewhat bitter after boil maybe too much orange rind Bottled 4/1/2012 44 bottles most of the original bitterness for the orange peel is gone.

Notes

used Hop Union brand hops CZECH Saaz & UK Kent Golding used actual rind from 1 1/2 orange by peeling without getting the pith (Change to one rind next time) mashed in 5 gal at 168 and then right away 1.5 qt at boiling to bring to 165 to 170 1st running 3.2gal out sparged 3.5 gal at 170 plus 1 qt boiling for 20 min 3.25 sparged out combined pre-boil brix 11 OG after boil into fermenter 15 brx or 1.062 Post fermentation 7 Brix or 1.008 FG ABV 7.10
