Notes

Add two split vanilla beans to primary, in primary 7 days Add 4 cups homemade strawberry vanilla jam & one split vanillla bean to secondary, planned secondary 2 weeks Brewed on 5/6/2012 Secondary on 5/13/2012 Bottled on 6/2/2012 SG at end of primary: 1.020 SG at end of secondary: 1.019 Preliminary tasting at bottling was beyond expectations! Amazing strawberry notes without being overly fruity, balances well with a creamy malt flavor. Color is a bright rusty brown. Finishes on the palate with a faint hint of vanilla. I can hardly wait to taste the final result in a month! primed with corn sugar **table sugar in ingredient list accounts for the estimated sugar added into secondary from the strawberry jam
